Group Van Vooren
Zelzate
As a specialist in soil and environmental research, Group Van Vooren is strongly committed to sustainability. Among other things, the company invested in heat pumps and 2,500 solar panels, a smart control system combined with an optimal energy contract using Powerland as contractor.
Because the employees' fleet will become fully electric this year, we also installed 40 Etrel smart AC charging points and a 300 kW Alpitronic hypercharger on the Zelzate site. All these charging facilities are powered by green electricity from solar panels and are also available to visitors. Indeed, this location is ideally located on the axis from Antwerp to Knokke and from the Netherlands to Ghent, and the charging station is also easily accessible for trucks and buses.
To make optimal use of this renewable energy, Powerland, as integrator and installer, also implemented a self-regulating energy management system. This system coordinates all energy sources and consumers with each other and constantly monitors the balance on the power grid.
In this way, Group Van Vooren can aspire to full operation on renewable energy in the near future.
